During the video to overload we are shown a wide variety of lighting both high and low key, the video is mainly set outside and so a large amount of natural lighting is used however there is multiple points in the video where the artist is by himself and his background is fully blacked out however we can see him clearly, this is a great example of low key lighting on a large scale as it is highlighting on item in the shot to us however not much light is used as it does not illuminate his surroundings. The camera angles and editing within this video is why I chose this video over any other. Throughout the video there are close ups long shots establishing shots, swish pans and low and high angle shots. The editing is also spectacular, there are shots which are split and mirrored in the centre, and some shots are faded and placed over one another whilst others fade to white.

Mise-en-scene is not a very large topic to comment on within this video as this is a video mainly focused on the lyrics; however there is a large amount of natural locations which can be mentioned. Within the video we can see many clear fields and mountains, green grass and blue skies. In terms of props as far as I can see there isn’t any, however there are old clips within the video which include banners and burning.

Sound is the same in this video as heart shaped box as within this video the only sound is the actual song which can sometimes be interpreted as diegetic but also non-diegetic and so this again is similar to heart shaped box. Towards the end of the video there are some clips of old videos and on very loud speakers you may be able to hear the recordings of the old videos however this is not a guarantee.

There ae some controversial topics towards the end of the video mentioning Martin Luther King and his speech and so equality amongst race is mentioned within the video however other than this there is no stereotypical points to make as there is not story or characters within the video.

This video is aimed at teenagers as this is a song which has been remade and reinterpreted for the newer generation, the background music is a song called children by the late Robert Miles and was a huge hit when it was first released and so this was made as an attempt to re-imagine the song and bring it up to modern times to reach a new audience.
