Possible music video options

During the past two lessons me and harry have been contemplating which song to choose for out music videos. We shortened the list down to 3 different options and have finally chosen which song we are going to use. Below are our three options.

Option one - XXXTATACION - Jocelyn Flores

This song is a music piece from a new American rap/ hip hop artist called XXXTANTACION, he has recently released his new album 17, this explore his feelings and emotions over the past couple of years and lets you wander through his mind. His first song on the album Joycelyn Flores follows the narrative of his friend dying and his emotions through this time. This song has a great tune and meaningful lyrics behind it and so this would be a great option for us to do as we feel we could recreate this emotion within the video.

Option two - Loyle Career - Damselfly

Loyle Carners new album Yesterday's Gone has become very popular within people our age and so this will automatically connect with our audience. The song Damselfly is both one of mine and harry's favourite songs of this year and so is something that we would both enjoy doing. The song is about Loyle getting bored or going on dates and him finally falling in love with a girl. In this video we could create emotion but this is not what me and harry wanted to do and so we crossed this idea out

Option three - The Stone Roses - Fools Gold

Our final choice is fools gold by the stone roses, this song was originally made a hit song just by the general public and it hit the charts with storm. The song then became even more popular when the song was used on the trailer for Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels. This song is a great choice for us considering its unique 90's feel that can be portrayed in the video. The song was very influential toward other upcoming bids at the time including Oasis and helps form some of the best music that has come from the UK.
